What's Happening at Regal Ranch?
National Alpaca Farm Days 2008
Our open house was a huge success. More than 300 visitors enjoyed beautiful weather, lots of "face time" with the alpacas and some great artwork in the gallery. The "Name the Baby Contest" proved to be very popular with a couple from Belgium being chosen as the winners of an alpaca teddy bear. Their entry for our female cria, Peluche,  is a French word for "cuddly animal". Congratulations to our winners. The official registered name will be Regal's Peruvian Peluche.

Next up will be the arrival of our new crias. Our first girl is due mid June and the rest follow throughout the late summer and fall. Give us a call and come for a visit. Bring a camera for the inevitable photo ops.  See you soon.
Update: Satin delivered a beautiful baby boy, Regal's Peruvian Taj, on June 19th and Amoretta, Lola and Happy followed in October with another little boy, Regal's Aramis, and 2 little girls, Regal's Peruvian Peluche and Regal's Peruvian Shehzadi.

About Us
We began our alpaca experience about a year before forming Regal Ranch Alpacas. Living in Chicago at the time, we decided that there was no better time than the present to leave the corporate worlds of banking, medical research, and education to pursue our dream of raising alpacas. We did the usual online research, read countless articles, searched our souls, and made the plunge. A visit to an alpaca farm in Northeast Wisconsin was next on the agenda. Now, armed with a lot of information and reassurance from our new-found mentors and friends, we decided on two beautiful, bred females and one very handsome gelded companion to begin our herd on our new farm in Door County, WI. And it has been an amazing adventure ever since filled with newborn crias, shows and auctions, seminars and workshops, and even a couple of trips to South America to purchase alpaca fiber goods and to see large herds in their native setting.

With a focus on quality breeding stock, our herd continues some of the most desirable blood lines and diverse, award winning genetics including Peruvian Hemingway from the Alianza in Peru and Snowmasters Royal Extreme and Snowmass Royal Star whose lineage originates in the Accoyo and Anatacalla regions. Also, Avalon's Peruvian Tri Star, son of AFA Royal Peruvian Aristocrat and grandson of 3Peruvian (Accoyo) Royal Fawn. Current breedings include Hobby Horse A Fistful Of Dollars (aka Clint), and Avalon's Peruvian Impessario and Our Black Jag.

We also pride ourselves in thoughtful, comprehensive, and on-going customer support made possible by our full time commitment to our alpaca and art business located on our ranch including alpaca sales and breeding, alpaca fiber products, ceramics, and art glass creations. There are many wonderful alpaca farms to visit when making your investment decision. We encourage you to include Regal Ranch Alpacas in your search for the very best alpaca experience.
